A356 Aluminium

In the Chronos Chair the aluminium does the connecting. A single cast vein runs between the oak volumes and carries the load, so the metal is structure and sculpture at the same time. We chose A356 because it can take complicated geometry and still has real physical presence in a room.

The same alloy is part of the Chronos Floor Lamp, where it sits with the same ebonized oak and with formed glass.
