Printed Composite
The archive's first additive material, introduced for Xenochronos Table. Printing removes the mould from the argument: geometry that no pattern could release demoulds itself, one section at a time.
The studio treats the composite as an armature for surface. Resin closes the seams and the paint system carries the piece's character, which is why the finish is documented and sampled as carefully as the print.
- Printed in sections and unified with resin, it behaves as one continuous body: stiff, light for its volume, and indifferent to the formal complexity that would make casting impossible.
- 3D printed in parts, hand-assembled, resin-coated.
- High-gloss coats now; a holographic colour-shifting automotive paint is in sampling.
- Printed and assembled in the studio; resin systems batch-logged.
